The Stahlbrands' in Canada are all descendants of Gustav Wilehelm and Igrid (Olsson) Stahlbrand who immigrated to Canada from Sweden in the early 1927.
Gustav was born in Örkelljunga, Sweden with the birth name Bengtsson. He changed his name in 1901 to Stahlbrand which was a war name used by a famous soldier from his home town.
